Project - Carried out in place upgrade of two 3PAR SAN arrays replaced by HP Nimble Storage, then planned and made improvement efficiencies to the database workloads LUN arrangements, set standards for storage volume management. After testing my migration strategy plan, successfully executed change process and migrated over 200 terabytes of data including over 50 business critical databases, all without downtime over the course of only two weeks without any outage to services, proud achievement. Project - Implement Net-backup Enterprise solution with (Air) Automated backup replication between two data-centres to de-duplicated storage arrays. This required re-analysing a provisional design and scoping out the real storage and data sizing requirements. I have guided the business to improve backup retention strategies to cover over 500+ virtual servers, ensure critical data has adequate backup and restoration, and disaster recovery replication. I have identified areas of risk and provided strategy to reduce these risks and improve business (TTR) time to recovery. Project - Implement VMware Cluster and XenApp 7.12 work from home remote access solution. This has presented quite a few challenges, related to technical incompatibilities and anomalies. This has raised my skill set in Citrix XenApp, issues related to database AOAG, and vmware certificate authentication integration with Xen Machine Creation Services. Project - Analyse and scope plan of action to uplift datacenter 3PAR San Storage. I provided and led the direction on SPOCK compatibility matrix, firmware and driver requirements. Ensured blade enclosure configuration backups were managed. SAN upgrades were uplifted by HP 3PAR engineer which did encounter some BAU issues a failed disk and service processor, which were managed swiftly by myself and my team.

Member of the Global Data Centre Operations team supporting managed infrastructure across six major datacentres in North America, EMEA and APAC. Responsible for enterprise infrastructure lifecycle management, implementation of new customer environments, operational governance, and technical documentation. Managed global HPE BladeSystem infrastructure, including Virtual Connect, SAN, firmware, and configuration standards across more than 280 blade enclosures. Acted as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure troubleshooting and was recognised as a subject matter expert for Active Directory, Microsoft Clustering, DFS Namespaces, and storage interoperability. Provided technical leadership on domain migration projects, high-availability solutions, infrastructure governance, backup and disaster recovery, and global change management initiatives. Project. Analyse the Mortgage Business for Republic Bank of Ireland. Remotely audited and documented server configurations, identified problems and fixes to improve stability of 60 Servers. Project. Analysed, implemented, upgrade & migration of Net-backup solution from 4.5 and 5.0 to 6.4. Innovation. Provided good advice in a difficult situation, and saved HP from a large financial penalty. The SAN mirror had lost synchronization and snapshot ability, at the same time I identified problems in the Net backup solution and the ability to protect the client’s business critical data. Project. Server Analysis. Migration of Physical Wintel Servers in Bristol to Virtual HP C-class blade servers hosted in Ireland. Accountable for server analysis and migration using Plate-spin, VM-Converter, and Softek TDMF copy to migrate data to ESX VMWare Servers over IPLC connection. Project. Build and implement Disaster recovery site at Aztec West Data Center. This involved building secondary domain controllers, Net-backup Master Server. Project. Designed and implemented DHCP enterprise solution. Dual cluster split scope design.

Project. Build and integrate fault tolerant Citrix server solutions with Solaris Oracle backend databases. Over 70 servers per customer at more than four customer sites.
